About

I'm the AI-in-education specialist who's still in the classroom.

Matthew Wemyss

I'm Matthew Wemyss. Assistant School Director at the Cambridge School of Bucharest. Bestselling author. And someone who spends every day figuring out how AI actually works in a real school with real students.

That last part matters. A lot of people talk about AI in education. I'm one of the few who's still doing it. Every day, in classrooms, with teachers and students who don't care about hype. They care about what works.

I started exploring AI in education not because it was trendy, but because I'm dyslexic. AI tools transformed how I work. That personal experience made me realise how powerful these tools could be for learners of all kinds, if used thoughtfully.

Since then, I've trained thousands of educators across 12+ countries, written three bestselling books, earned my AI Governance Professional (AIGP) certification, been recognised as the Edufuturists AI Pioneer, and I present a monthly show on AI in the classroom on Teachers Talk Radio.

But the thing I'm most proud of? I still teach. I still lead. I still sit in the staff room and figure out what actually works when the WiFi drops and Year 9 won't stop using ChatGPT to write their homework.

That's why schools trust me. I'm not selling a vision from a stage. I'm sharing what I've learned from the same trenches you're in.
