AI Strategy Consulting for Schools
IN&ED provides AI strategy consulting for schools and multi-academy trusts, building bespoke policies, implementation roadmaps, and governance frameworks. Led by Matthew Wemyss — an AIGP-certified consultant and practising school leader.
Your school will have a clear AI strategy, a usable policy, and a plan your governors can see. Built around your context, not a template.
Your board is asking about AI. Your teachers are already using it. Your parents want to know what your policy is. And you're not sure where to start.
You don't need another webinar or a 90-slide deck from a consultant who's never set foot in a classroom. You need someone who understands your context, your constraints, and the reality of leading a school in 2026.
Four Deliverables. Zero Fluff.
An AI Audit
I assess where your school stands right now. Tools in use. Staff confidence levels. Policy gaps. Student behaviour patterns. You get a clear baseline, not guesswork.
A Tailored AI Strategy
Co-developed with your leadership team. Aligned to your school’s values, curriculum, and governance requirements. This is a living document you can actually use, not shelf decoration.
Implementation Support
The plan won’t sit in a drawer. You’ll have support to roll it out, train your team, and troubleshoot the real-world problems that nobody anticipates in a strategy document.
Ongoing Advisory
Termly check-ins to review progress, adapt to new tools, and keep momentum going when the initial excitement fades.

Take the 2-Minute QuizWhy Me Over the Alternatives
I’m AIGP-certified. I understand governance and compliance, not just tools.
I’m still a school leader myself. I know your constraints: budget, time, sceptical staff, and the teacher who insists AI is “just a fad.”
I understand international and British school contexts, from COBIS affiliates to standalone independents.
“I want to thank you for the outstanding workshop. It certain had a positive impact on the staff and they are filled with enthusiasm and optimism, keen to try our new ways of working and utilising AI. As an initial first step, I am not sure we could have hoped for more!”
Julian Clark

“Matthew delivered some excellent staff INSET for use at the start of the year. It was a well-structured presentation that was pitched at the right level for Prep school teaching staff.”
Tom Butt
King's Hawford School
“Matthew is very knowledgeable about AI in education and his presentation style is engaging and approachable. Matthew is a professional and is a pleasure to work with.”

Frequently Asked Questions
What does AI strategy consulting include?
A consulting engagement covers four core deliverables: an AI audit of your current tools, staff confidence, and policy gaps; a tailored AI strategy co-developed with your leadership team; implementation support to roll out the plan and train your staff; and ongoing termly advisory to review progress and adapt as the landscape changes.
How long does a consulting engagement last?
The initial engagement typically runs two to three months, moving from audit through strategy development to implementation. After that, ongoing support continues through termly check-ins, with direct access for ad-hoc questions in between.
Do you work with individual schools or multi-academy trusts?
Both. Engagements scale from single schools to multi-academy trusts and international school groups. The audit and strategy phases are adapted to reflect the governance structure and scope of the organisation.
What is the difference between training and consulting?
Training upskills your staff in specific AI tools and pedagogy, typically through workshops or INSET sessions. Consulting builds your school's AI strategy, policy, and implementation roadmap at a leadership level. Many schools benefit from both, in that order.
Do I need consulting if we already have an AI policy?
Many schools have a policy but struggle with implementation. Having a document on a shelf is not the same as having a working strategy. Consulting helps turn policy into practice with clear workflows, staff buy-in, and accountability structures that actually get used.
